Celtic were one of the sides reportedly interested in signing Jordi Osei-Tutu, but they will have to look elsewhere this summer.

Celtic’s reported hopes of signing Arsenal full-back Jordi Osei-Tutu this summer have been dashed with the Gunners confirming on their official website that the 20-year-old has completed a season-long loan move to Bochum for the coming campaign.
The Sun reported earlier in the month that the Hoops were one of the sides interested in signing the right-back this summer, with Neil Lennon looking to replace Mikael Lustig following his move away from Parkhead.
Lustig may have come in for plenty of criticism during the final 18 months of his Bhoys spell, but there is no doubt that he leaves big shoes to fill having been a fantastic servant in his time in the Scottish Premiership.
But Lennon’s reported hopes of landing Osei-Tutu are over for this window, with Arsenal confirming on their official website that the youngster will head to Germany to join the second tier side on loan.

It must be noted that The Scottish Sun recently reported that Osei-Tutu was one of the players Arsenal offered to Celtic in a swap bid which would have seen Kieran Tierney head to the Emirates.
While getting the best fee for Tierney would have been the priority, you would imagine that those discussions between the clubs would have progressed further if Celtic felt that Osei-Tutu was a key target.
It does not appear to be a huge setback for the Hoops to miss out on Osei-Tutu at this stage of the window. But perhaps it may still be a deal that disappoints Lennon while he has not got a right-back through the door.
