Scottish Premiership winners Celtic have been linked with an £8m move for Toulouse’s Ligue 1 centre-back Christopher Jullien.

Christopher Jullien has come on leaps and bounds in recent seasons at Toulouse. But that does not mean the reported Celtic target is resting on his laurels.
According to the Daily Record, the Scottish Premiership champions have set their sights on the 6ft 5ins centre-back as they look to replace both Dedryck Boyata and Filip Benkovic at Parkhead.
Jullien is valued at £8 million as it stands but, with his price-tag expected to rise as other clubs express and interest, he could conceivably command a club-record fee from a Hoops side looking to build on yet another treble-winning campaign.
Jullien might have the quality to walk into Celtic’s starting XI but the player himself believes that he has a lot to improve upon – a refreshing attitude which should stand him in good stead whichever club he joins this summer.
“I try to improve my concentration levels and my leadership skills every season because it’s very important to my job,” the one-time Freiburg defender told the Evening Times.

“I would also like to be stronger aerially. It’s a little presumptuous, but I want to become impassable. That’s my ultimate objective in my head.”
26-year-old Jullien, who represented France at U20 level, is exactly the sort of statement signing Celtic need to make as they look to bat away competition from an ambitious Rangers side who are desperate to put an end to their domestic domination.
And signing an ‘impassable’ centre-back would go a long way to helping the Hoops on their way to ‘ten in a row’.
