According to The Scottish Sun, reported Rangers target Tom Eaves will not sign a new contract with Gillingham.

Steven Gerrard’s Rangers are reportedly interested in signing Eaves from Gillingham in League One in England in the January transfer window.

It has been reported that the 26-year-old striker is out of contract at the Gills, and that he has indicated that he will not sign a new contract with his club.

Boost for Rangers

This report in The Scottish Sun certainly boosts Rangers’ chances of signing Eaves in the January transfer window.

After all, if the 26-year-old striker does not put pen to paper a new contract with Gillingham, then the League One club may have to sell him in the January transfer window instead of losing him on a free next summer.
