A dream return could be on the cards for Aston Villa fans this summer.
Tammy Abraham ripped it up for Villa in the Championship and helped them return to the promised land.
But now reports have emerged that Villa are interested in bringing back the Chelsea striker to Villa Park, according to the Telegraph.
Well, on Tuesday, Abraham sent a brilliant five-word message to Jack Grealish on Instagram about THAT goal against Derby two years ago.
In 2019, with Villa struggling in mid-table, Grealish returned from injury to help his boyhood club to a 4-0 win, and to boot, he scored a stunning volley.
Grealish posted about that goal on his Instagram page and how it was his first game as Villa captain.
Abraham was playing on that day and got on the scoresheet in a first-half blitz from Dean Smith’s men.
And this is what the Chelsea man wrote to Grealish yesterday: ‘I should have headed it’ added with a laughing emoji.
Grealish’s shot just flew over Abraham’s header, who thankfully, just ducked underneath it so it could send the packed-out Villa Park faithful wild.
From then on, history was made because Smith’s men went onto win ten games on the bounce and win promotion.
Whilst Ollie Watkins is doing wonders in a Villa shirt, bringing Abraham back to the Midlands will no doubt elevate this thriving and vastly-improving side.
