Aston Villa have seemingly missed out on signing Brentford winger Said Benrahma.

Reported Aston Villa target Said Benrahma has stated on Instagram that he is ‘ready’ to start the season with Brentford as a move to the Premier League side didn’t seemingly materialise.
The Daily Express previously claimed that Villa were hopeful of signing the Championship trickster on deadline day, but with Thursday’s deadline now passed, he is still a Brentford player.
It means that Villa have signed 12 players over the course of the summer and the fans would be pretty pleased with the business the clubs has done.
Nonetheless, as Thursday’s 5 pm cut-off point was nearing, Benrahma posted this message on his personal Instagram as he seemed in a pretty jovial mood.

It remains to be seen whether Smith, who worked with Benrahma at Griffin Park, will move for the winger in January or perhaps even next summer.
Whilst the Midlands outfit have had a very strong window, it could be argued that they needed that extra attacker just to add depth to the final third.
Either way, the likes of Wesley Moraes, Keinan Davis, Jonathan Kodjia, Trezeguet, Anwar El Ghazi and Jota wlll be Villa’s attacking options.
