Kieran Tierney has travelled with Celtic to Austria for their pre-season training camp in Austria despite interest from Premier League duo Arsenal and Everton.

As previously reported by Herald Scotland, both Arsenal and Everton are interested in the highly-rated Celtic defender, with the London club seemingly in the driving seat for his signature.

The Daily Mail have claimed that Tierney did travel with the Bhoys to Austria on Monday evening, as the Scottish Premiership champions have rejected Arsenal’s opening bid of £15 million for his services.

The 22-year-old left-back is a highly-rated talent and it will more than likely take an interested party quite a lot of money for them to secure the signature of Tierney.

First and foremost, he is arguably Celtic’s best player, a boyhood fan and an academy product. Losing all of that ahead of a new Scottish Premiership campaign isn’t going to be cheap for whoever wants him.

Nonetheless, despite the interest, it looks like Tierney is focussing on a new season for Celtic and helping the club to more trophies.

Neil Lennon’s side are hunting for nine-in-a-row and given Tierney’s affliction with the Glasgow giants, he will want to be a part of that.

But equally, the lure of playing in England’s top-flight against the best of the best is going to be tempting for most players, especially those with the talents of Tierney.
