Celtic’s Kieran Tierney celebrates
Celtic’s chances of keeping star youngster Kieran Tierney could be deal a substantial boost by Arsenal moving for Sead Kolasinac.
The Daily Mirror reported in March that Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers was bracing himself for an offer for Tierney from Arsenal this coming transfer window, with the Gunners watching the young talent on a regular basis.
The Daily Record also claimed last month that Tierney featured prominently on Arsenal’s list of targets, but they appear to be moving for another left-back instead.
Schalke defender Sead Kolasinac is strongly linked with a move to the Gunners, with the Bosnian international out of contract this summer.

The Mirror report Kolasinac will become Arsenal’s first summer signing, and will become their first choice left-back.
Kolasinac, 23, is more experienced than Tierney, and Arsenal’s preference is understandable.
It is also great news for Celtic, who have also seen Manchester United’s interest subside, according to the Daily Record.

Tierney, 19, has his whole career ahead of him and has no reason to want to depart Celtic right now.
A few more years will see him pick up even more experience and make him more desirable to top English teams, but right now it appears most likely he will remain at Celtic Park next season.
