Eintracht Frankfurt have agreed to sell reported Arsenal and West Ham United target Andre Silva for as little as £25 million during the summer transfer window, as reported by Sport1.
If we asked you to name the man closest to Robert Lewandowski in the Bundesliga’s Golden Boot race, you would be forgiven for assuming Erling Haaland was the answer to that particular poser.
For some reason, Andre Silva’s stunning season continues to go under the radar outside of Germany.
After ill-fated spells at AC Milan and Sevilla, the silky striker has rediscovered the form that saw him explode onto the scene at Porto and emerge as the heir apparent to Cristiano Ronaldo in the Portuguese national team.
In total, Silva has scored a remarkable 23 goals in Bundesliga games (two more than Haaland), while forming a thrilling partnership with the chalk-booted Filip Kostic as Frankfurt close in on Champions League qualification for the very first time.
But while the 25-year-old doesn’t get the credit he deserves, there are a few clubs in need of a new number nine who will come calling when the summer transfer window opens.
Calciomercato reported in March that Arsenal have identified Silva as a potential replacement for Alexandre Lacazette at the Emirates.
West Ham, meanwhile, are still searching for a man capable of giving David Moyes a more natural option through the middle, with Milan’s one-time £33 million bench-warmer an option (Daily Mail).

Reports coming out of Germany on Friday will only serve to pour a gallon of fuel on the fire.
Sport1 believe that, while there is no release clause in Silva’s contract, there is an agreement in place; one that will see Frankfurt cash in if they receive a bid of around £25 million.
With all due respect to a historic footballing institution, it seems that Silva sees Frankfurt as a bit of a stepping stone en route to something bigger.
