Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic are reportedly interested in bringing the Hibernian ace to Parkhead.

According to a report from the Daily Mail, Hibernian are holding out for £4 million for midfield ace John McGinn, but that would still represent excellent value for Celtic, should the Hoops win the race for his signature.
The 23-year-old joined Hibs from St Mirren in the summer of 2015, and he has gone on to be a real hit at Easter Road, chalking up 15 goals and 27 assists in 132 appearances in all competitions.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has obviously targeted his central midfield department as an area that needs addressing, with the injection of youth, quality and energy being of paramount importance to their chances of achieving further success this season.
Every Love Island contestant if they were an England player – World Cup!
McGinn certainly ticks all of those boxes, and in today’s market, £4 million would be an absolute snip for a player of his calibre.

The Glasgow giants will be looking to win their eight league title in a row this season, as well as making genuine progress in Europe, and if they manage to bring McGinn to Parkhead, they will be in a great position to do just that.
Whether Celtic can beat a whole host of Premier League clubs in the race for the nine-capped Scotland international’s signature, though, remains to be seen.
