The Roma ace would be a wonderful addition to the Tottenham Hotspur squad.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will have a lot of work to do this summer, if he is to build a squad of players who are capable of mounting a sustained push for the Premier League title next season.
One particular area of concern for the Argentine will be his central midfield department, especially considering the fact that Mousa Dembele’s future at Spurs is uncertain to say the least.
According to a report from the Sun, Tottenham are willing to sell the Belgian this summer for around £20 million, and if he does leave the north London outfit, Pochettino will obviously have to bring in an able bodied replacement.

With this in mind, Spurs should consider a move for Roma ace Kevin Strootman, who has a release clause of €45 million (£39.5 million) inserted into his current contract with the Serie A outfit, according to Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato.
The 28-year-old is one of the continent’s finest central midfield players, and his cool and composed manner when in possession of the football would surely prove to be a real asset for Tottenham.

Strootman would be the ideal central midfield partner for either Eric Dier or Victor Wanyama, what with his impressive range of passing.
The Roma ace is extremely experienced and has 40 international caps for Holland under his belt. He is exactly the type of character that Spurs need, and if Dembele does in fact leave this summer, signing Strootman for £39.5 million would be a great way to make up for the disappointment of losing the Belgian.
