Ajax’s Eredivisie goalkeeper Andre Onana has been linked with Premier League trio Arsenal, Spurs and West Ham United.

Andre Onana has signed a new long-term contract with Ajax, seemingly bringing an end to speculation linking him with a summer move to the Premier League, as reported by the club’s official website.
At the age of 22, Onana is emerging as one of the world’s most promising young goalkeepers, having gone from strength to strength in Amsterdam since he arrived from Barcelona in 2015.
The Cameroon international is yet to win the Eredivisie title with Ajax but has played a starring role as Erik Ten Haag’s side reached the quarter finals of this year’s Champions League, producing a marvellous display in the 4-1 win away at Real Madrid.
As a result, De Telegraaf claimed that Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Arsenal were all lining up to bring Onana to London with Ajax’s £30 million price-tag seemingly within their grasp.
But it seems that the cat-like ‘keeper isn’t going anywhere just yet. The BBC reports that he has signed a new contract at Ajax until 2023.

The cynics may argue that this is merely an attempt to see Ajax make as much money as possible from Onana’s eventual sale but it seems that the La Masia graduate is determined to stay for a few more seasons.
“Ajax did so many things for me and that’s why I extend my contract. For me it’s important to give something back,” he said.
“I am happy to be here and I hope to win more titles.”
