A few starry-eyed Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter after watching a reported target of theirs – RB Salzburg star Patson Daka – shine in a friendly on Wednesday.
Far Posts revealed that the Premier League champions are vying with Manchester United and Arsenal for the Zambian’s services.
Daka netted 27 goals last season, and seems to have hit the ground running this time around with a stunning friendly display.
The 21-year-old scored four goals in the first half of RB Salzburg’s 10-0 friendly win over Bregenz on Wednesday.
The 18-capped Zambia international displayed clinical finishing to bag his haul in just 22 minutes of action. Daka scored his first in the 17th minute, and then grabbed his fourth and final goal in the 39th minute.
There was already plenty of reasons to get excited about the forward even before he achieved this impressive feat. The RB Salzburg dynamo has shades of a certain Sadio Mane – as some fans below also state.
We all know how well the Senegalese attacker has done at Anfield, so if Daka is even half the player Mane is, Jurgen Klopp will have a superb option on his hands – should he move to Merseyside, that is.
