Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing up a £12 million move for Jarrod Bowen, report The Mirror.

The Hull City ace is lighting up the Championship with 13 goals this season already.

Spurs’ move might not have a chance of succeeding, with SkySports claiming Hull want around £20 million.

This is a fee Tottenham should not go up to, and £12 million is fair value for the 22-year-old at this time.

Tottenham fans criticised the reported £20 million price tag on Bowen when it was first reported.

For that price Tottenham would want a player with proven experience in the Premier League or Champions League.

By comparison Spurs bought Lucas Moura for a very reasonable £25 million last summer.

Tottenham would be buying Bowen at a premium because he is English.

Cheaper players could be found abroad with top flight and Champions League experience if Tottenham use the market wisely.

Spurs’ efforts to land Bowen might be doomed to fail at £12 million, but their bid is a fair one.
