Tottenham Hotspur are allegedly interested in signing the Real Madrid forward.

According to a report from Spanish media outlet El Desmarque, Zinedine Zidane has given the green light for Tottenham to sign Mariano Diaz, on the condition that Christian Eriksen is allowed to move to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
Mariano, 25, rejoined Madrid in the summer of 2018 from Lyon for around £30 million, according to BBC Sport, but he struggled for regular game-time with Los Blancos last season.
Eriksen, meanwhile, has just 12 months remaining on his current contract with Spurs, and El Desmarque claims that Madrid are keen to sign the Dane.
They also suggest that Tottenham want to bring Diaz to north London, with Mauricio Pochettino viewing him as the ideal backup or even competition for Harry Kane.
And Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has given his seal of approval to the Dominican striker joining Spurs, on the condition that Eriksen is allowed to move in the opposite direction.

El Desmarque claims that Tottenham still want £90 million for the Dane, but with just one year remaining on his current contract, Daniel Levy will surely have to drop that reported asking price.
Madrid’s interest in the 27-year-old will undoubtedly make Spurs’ pursuit of Mariano that little bit easier, however.
And if Tottenham do manage to sign the Madrid man, he will surely prove to be a really useful asset for them next season.
