The striker could be set to depart West Ham United in January.
According to Italian publication Il Matino, West Ham striker Simone Zaza’s father, who is also his agent, will contact Napoli director of football Cristiano Giuntoli in the coming hours to update him on his son’s situation.
Zaza joined the Hammers in the summer transfer window on a season-long loan deal from Juventus as they sought to improve their forward line.
That deal included the option to make the move a permanent one should the Italian striker end up playing a requisite number of games.

He has since struggled to impress at the London Stadium, failing to score in their first 11 games of the season.
As a result speculation about his future has begun to mount, with the idea that his loan spell may be cut short being heavily mooted.
Now, Il Matino claims that his father is set to contact Napoli’s director of football in the coming hours to update him on the situation following a mini-summit in London, presumably with West Ham.

The newspaper also claims there could be one potential stumbling block in the deal.
According to them, the striker has a four-year deal with an American company regarding his image rights and if Napoli do not waiver their rights, the potential move could collapse.
With over a month left until the January window opens, expect more updates on Zaza’s future to come.
