According to Football.London, Arsenal are likely to wait until the summer to make a move for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma.

Bissouma has allegedly told a close friend that he would choose Arsenal over any other Premier League club if they made a move.

Additionally, Bissouma is thought to have a close relationship with both Gabriel Magalhaes and Nicolas Pepe, speaking regularly having been together at Lille.

Arsenal have already spoken to Bissouma’s agent Michael N’Cho, but a deal this month doesn’t really look likely given the club’s financial issues.

The Gunners do though have concerns; they aren’t huge fans of Bissouma’s discipline, having picked up five yellow cards and one red this season.

Still, they view the Mali international as Thomas Partey’s long-term partner in midfield, and seem to be putting themselves in position to make a move later this year.

The 24-year-old is a fine ball-carrier through midfield, offering a slightly more progressive option if he does play alongside Partey.

A reunion with Pepe and Gabriel seems to be appealing to Bissouma, but he’ll have to sit tight and remain patient as Arsenal look to the summer rather than this month.
