Stoke City youngster Mohamed Sankoh has chosen Stuttgart over Tottenham Hotspur and is expected to undergo a medical at the Bundesliga newcomers today, according to Kicker.
While newly-promoted Stuttgart look set to lose top scorer Nicolas Gonzalez after the Leeds-linked striker told TMW of his desire for a ‘new experience’, they do at least appear to be on the verge of an exciting signing that will give one of Germany’s biggest fan bases something to cheer this summer.
Kicker claims that Sankoh, a Dutch youth international who moved to Stoke from Sparta Rotterdam two years ago, is on his way to the Mercedes Benz Arena.
The speedy striker was blown away after visiting Stuttgart a few weeks ago.
And, on his second visit, he will put pen to paper on a contract with the 2007 Bundesliga champions.
Sankoh has even turned down offers from AC Milan, Atalanta and Tottenham in favour of a Stuttgart side who finished as the runners-up in the German second tier last season.

The cynics, of course, will jump at any old opportunity to point out Jose Mourinho’s less-than-stellar track record when it comes to giving opportunities to unproven youngsters as a reason for Sankoh’s decision.
But maybe they have a point.
With Troy Parrott moving on loan to Millwall in order to secure the first-team football many Spurs fans think he deserves, what chance would Sankoh have?
He, after all, is two years younger than the Republic of Ireland international and has even less exposure to the men’s game.
