The former Everton defender Matthew Foulds could continue his career in Italy.
Foulds spent four years on Everton’s books after being prised as a promising youngster from Bury.
But the 22-year-old’s Goodison Park breakthrough never arrived and he was released by the Toffees earlier this year.
According to The Telegraph, Foulds is now training with the Italian Serie C side, Como.
It remains to be seen if the left-footed player will earn a permanent contract in Como, who already employ a couple of Brits in Amrit Bansal-McNulty, on loan from Queens Park Rangers, and Lewis Walker, son of the former England and Sampdoria defender, Des.
Everton allowed Foulds to leave despite a shortage of options in his position.

But Carlo Ancelotti’s options look healthier now Ben Godfrey has arrived from Norwich City, in a deal reportedly worth more than £20 million.
The Toffees have enjoyed an impressive start to the new Premier League season, and are three points clear in the title race ahead of Saturday’s visit of Liverpool.
