Everton continue to be linked with Barcelona’s Yerry Mina.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the future of Barcelona defender Yerry Mina will be decided this week, with his agent and uncle set to meet with the club on Tuesday.
Mina, 23, starred in Brazil with Palmeiras and subsequently earned a January move to Barcelona, but he failed to make much of an impact with the Catalan giants.
The 6ft 5in defender was so disappointing that Barcelona have gone out and signed another central defender in Sevilla’s Clement Lenglet, pushing Mina down the pecking order.
Yet with Colombia at this summer’s World Cup, Mina starred with three goals in three games, and whilst his defending was a little rough around the edges, he clearly has potential.
Now, Mundo Deportivo report that Mina’s future will be decided this week, as his agent and uncle Yair Mina will hold a meeting with Barcelona on Tuesday to choose the next course of action.
The report notes that Everton are one of a number of clubs interested in signing Mina, just hours after Goal claimed that Mina is ‘content’ with what Everton have to offer after new manager Marco Silva contacted Yair to lay out his plans for the defender.

Everton need more youth at the back given that both Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams are past their best, and Mina fits the bill as a defender who could play alongside Michael Keane.
It’s unclear whether Barcelona would just want to loan Mina out or sell him, but Everton appear to be firmly in the race – and may well learn the outcome of their pursuit in the coming days.
