Everton could reportedly consider selling Yannick Bolasie this summer amid interest from their Premier League rivals.
Brands is getting to grips with the task in hand at Goodison Park, and the Mirror reports that he intends to get rid of a number of players to reduce the squad size that new manager Marco Silva has to work with.
And while the report does not suggest that Everton will actively attempt to sell the winger, the Mirror adds that Bolasie – who is being monitored by a top flight rival – could be one of the players that may be allowed to leave during this window if the money was right.
It has not been a good spell at Goodison Park for the 29-year-old. After signing for £25 million in 2016 – fee reported by BBC Sport – Bolasie’s bright early form was followed by just over 12 months spent on the sidelines due to injury.
Unfortunately, his form since his return has certainly not captured the imagination and given the Everton fans reason for optimism that he will go on and justify that £25 million fee once he is fully fit and match sharp. He scored one goal and provided no assists in 16 league games for the Toffees.
Some perhaps feel that giving Bolasie more time may be worth considering given how long he was injured and the fact that Sam Allardyce has been replaced by Silva, but it is not difficult to see why Brands is reportedly ready to consider selling should a significant offer come in this summer.
