It has been claimed that while a free transfer looked to be on the cards, Veronique Rabiot decided to increase the wage demands all of a sudden.
This prompted the Spanish giants not to accept her wishes, as the player ended up signing for Juventus in the same summer.
Another reason that has been claimed is that Rabiot’s camp were insistent on him playing in a defined position at Barcelona.
The-then manager Ernesto Valverde was not a fan of this request, which was another reason why the switch broke down.
With Mikel Arteta being a stickler for discipline and an undying commitment to the cause, as was evident with his treatment of Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, these claims will not appease him or Arsenal, as a matter of fact whatsoever.
