Liverpool are now favourites to sign Jadon Sancho next summer ahead of Manchester United, the Independent report.

Manchester United chased Sancho all summer, but failed to get a deal over the line, and there is now a feeling that Liverpool could well swoop and beat their rivals to the punch.

Sancho looks set to spend the rest of the season at Borussia Dortmund, before moving on in 2021.

And Liverpool are now a more likely destination for him than United, the latest report suggests.

Sancho, who has been hailed as ‘world-class’ by his current manager Lucien Favre (Bundesliga.com), is highly regarded by Jurgen Klopp.

And sources close to the player suggest that the chances of him moving to Liverpool have just increased greatly.

If Sancho did join Liverpool it could cause a reshuffle in Klopp’s side’s attack.

Sancho surely wouldn’t be happy to play second fiddle to the likes of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane, so it may be that Liverpool would have to move on one of their current stars, if the England international did arrive.

Liverpool would almost definitely have to break their transfer record to bring in Sancho, and the arrival of the 21-year-old would be one of their most exciting transfer moves in years.
