Kylian Mbappe would be keen to play for Liverpool, but he is inclined to extend his contract at PSG currently, ESPN suggest.
Liverpool have been tentatively linked with the £166 million forward (BBC Sport) in recent times, with the Telegraph saying that he is Jurgen Klopp’s ‘dream signing’ last year.
Klopp’s desire to sign the Frenchman, who was hailed as ‘world class’ by Didier Dechamps (Ligue 1 official website) is understandable, as he is regarded as the most promising young talent in world football.
And it is reported that a move to Anfield would appeal to Mbappe, who is open to leaving PSG.
However, the 21-year-old also knows that Liverpool do not have millions to spend right now.
And because of the Reds’ financial issues, Mbappe knows that any deal is unlikely.

Mbappe has also been linked with Real Madrid, but they too are struggling to afford the fee it would take to prise him away from PSG.
ESPN’s latest update claims that Mbappe is now inclined to extend his contract with the French side, as he feels it is his best option.
If Mbappe does commit his future to PSG then Liverpool’s chance of signing him may be over.
Mbappe’s value would only rise even more if he penned a long-term deal, and that would surely take him well out of Liverpool’s price range under their current ownership.
