According to the Daily Mail, Schalke winger Leroy Sane is expected to give an answer over a £40 move to Manchester City this week.
City have already landed Ilkay Gundogan, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Nolito as Pep Guardiola begins work at the Etihad Stadium, and another deal could be close.
Even after landing Nolito, Guardiola is still keen on adding another winger, and despite having Raheem Sterling in the ranks already, another pacey young wide man is being offered the chance to join City.
The Daily Mail report that City are still pushing to sign Schalke star Leroy Sane, with the player set to decide this week whether he’s making a £40m move to the Etihad Stadium.
Sane, 20, has come up through the ranks at Schalke, as after initially joining in 2005, he had a three-year spell with Bayer Leverkusen from 2008 to 2011 before heading back to Gelsenkirchen.
Now one of the world’s hottest young prospects, Sane was a part of Germany’s Euro 2016 squad after hitting eight goals and six assists for Schalke last season.
A strong winger with blistering pace and superb dribbling ability, Sane looks to be a star of the future, and Guardiola is ready to spend big money on the winger having seen him feature against his Bayern Munich side last season.
With a decision expected this week, City could make it four summer signings in the coming days as the Guardiola revolution continues at the Etihad Stadium.
