Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Jack Ruddy has been linked with Ayr United in the January transfer window.

It has been reported that Ruddy had agreed a loan deal with the Scottish League One club and could make his debut this weekend.

According to the report, the 20-year-old goalkeeper is awaiting international clearance ahead of the League One game against Raith Rovers on Saturday.
Ruddy is a very talented and promising young goalkeeper who has been on the books of Wolves since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Bury.
The 20-year-old is a very talented player, but he has yet to make his breakthrough into the Wanderers’ first team.

There is fierce competition for places in the Wolves’ first-team squad, and it makes sense for Ruddy to join Ayr on loan for the rest of the season.
Wolves are at the top of the Championship table in England at the moment, while Ayr are currently second in the standings in the Scottish League One.
