According to a report, Wolverhampton Wanderers might be looking for a raid on Atletico Madrid this summer.
Wolves appear to be in the market for a couple of centre-backs.
And according to 90 Min, the Molineux club are interested in former Manchester City stalwart Stefan Savic.
The report adds that Wolves could also be interested in his fellow centre-back Felipe, who joined the Spanish giants from Porto only last summer.
Some fans of the Black Country outfit could be forgiven for not wanting Savic, such were his struggles at Eastlands once upon a time.
But the 29-year-old, a Premier League champion in 2012, is a far more accomplished defender now than he was during his forgettable stint under Roberto Mancini.
By virtue of the fact that he’s a first-team regular under Diego Simeone, one could argue that he has come on leaps and bounds and it’ll be fascinating to see if the Wolves speculation is valid.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side finished seventh in the Premier League table last season and with some good recruitment, there’s no reason why they can’t look to come higher next time around.
Savic is earning around £76,000 per week in the Spanish capital [Silly Season].
