According to a report from Italian publication Tutto Mercato Web, Wolves are interested in signing Porto midfielder Hector Herrera, but they will face competition from a whole host of top European clubs for his signature.

The Black Country outfit have made a fine start to life in the Premier League, and they currently sit in ninth spot in the table, but that doesn’t mean that Nuno Espirito Santo won’t be looking to bolster his ranks at Molineux this month.

Italian media outlet Tutto Mercato Web claims that Wolves are keen to bring the 70-capped Mexico international to the club during the January transfer window.

Nuno won’t have things all his own way, however.

It is being reported that Roma, Inter Milan, Arsenal, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid are all interested in acquiring Herrera’s services.

The 28-year-old is vastly experienced, and has chalked up 31 goals and 35 assists in 281 career appearances to date.
