Wolves are plotting a transfer deal for Monaco defender Benoît Badiashile, according to L’Equipe.

The powerful centre-back made 20 Ligue 1 appearances for Monaco last season.

Badisashile is just 18-years-old and is under contract at Monaco until 2021.

Last season was a tough learning experience for him, with Monaco struggling and having three different managers.

His progress was a bright spot for the club and now Wolves are showing interest.

Badiashile would face a tough ask to go straight into Wolves’ first team and may have to settle for a place on the bench, and even some gametime with the under-23s.

Already he has good experience for a teenage prospect and at the right price, Wolves appear ready to take a gamble on him.

Wolves struck a deal with Monaco last season to land Joao Moutinho, a deal which turned out to be one of the bargains of the season.
