Wolverhampton Wanderers are preparing for life in the Premier League by targeting the Manchester City defender.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men will be playing in the Premier League next year after largely cruising to the Championship title this season. They need to just two points from their remaining two games to bring up their century for the campaign, and they have done it with a playing style that has often left opposition fans in awe.

Despite their success, they are eyeing further additions ahead of their top flight return and The Irish Sun reports that a move to sign Mangala on a free transfer is on their radar.
The 27-year-old – whose agent is Jorge Mendes – is currently on loan at Everton, but has endured a miserable spell at Goodison Park having only made two appearances before his season was ended due to injury.

Gamble or potential masterstroke from Wolves?
Mangala has never quite been able to prove why Manchester City spent £32 million to sign him in 2014, and has, at times, had a reputation for being fairly error-prone.
However, signing him on a free transfer could be a fantastic move from Nuno as he looks to add top flight experience to a Wolves side that appears to have the potential to thrive at the highest level with the right additions.
