According to the Daily Mail, free agent attacker Ahmed Musa is set to undergo a medical with West Bromwich Albion.
It’s claimed that Wolverhampton Wanderers have shown an interest in signing Musa, with Musa believing that he has ‘unfinished business’ in the Premier League following a poor spell at Leicester City.
However, Musa looks set to join West Brom instead, with the Baggies requesting a UK visa for the attacker ahead of him arriving for a medical on Wednesday.
If all goes well, West Brom would hand him a deal until the end of the season, beating Wolves to his signature in something of a coup.
The 28-year-old left Al Nassr in October, with the Saudi Arabian side allowing him to leave after just 14 goals in 62 games.
Musa was once a huge threat with CSKA Moscow, providing blistering pace as well as 55 goals in 167 games, earning a £16.6million move to Leicester in 2016.
The Nigerian has found it difficult since then, scoring just five times in 33 games at Leicester, with seven goals in 16 games back on loan at CSKA unable to spark consistency.
Sam Allardyce seemingly believes that Musa can provide some quality in West Brom’s fight against relegation, and whilst beating Wolves is an initial boost, Musa needs to make a difference on the pitch.
