Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in Polish youngster Aleksander Buksa and could enlist the help of Jorge Mendes to get the deal done, according to Sportowe Fakty.
Despite what you might have heard, there’s more to Wolves’ transfer policy than luring Fernando Santos’ Portugal squad to the Black Country.
During the past couple of transfer windows, the Europa League quarter-finalists have also made Molineux home to a variety of exciting young talent from across the globe, from Meritan Shabani to Rayan Ait-Nouri and Luke Matheson to Leonardo Campana.
Buksa, however, would be the first Polish player to don Old Gold since Michal Zyro’s ill-fated spell in the Midlands.
The highly rated striker, who has been labelled the ‘new Robert Lewandowski’ due to his clinical finishing and 6ft 2in frame, is already a first-team player at a Wisla Krakow side now owned by former Dortmund speedster Jakub Blaszczykowski.
Buksa is also represented by super-agent Pini Zahavi and, according to Sportowe, his close relationship with Mendes could open the door for Wolves to snap up the exciting attacker in 2021.

But how do Wisla view the situation?
“We know the possibility of selling him to a great club may be an opportunity to solve the problems that plague our club,” says Wisla president Dawid Blaszczykowski, brother of Jakub.
“First of all we want (Buksa) to develop, which we hope will benefit not only the club but also the Polish national team.”
There’s some confusion over whether Buksa, who’s understood to be valued at about £4 million, is due to become a free agent at the end of this season.
Wyborcza believes a verbal agreement has been reached to tie the striker down until 2023. But nothing is official and, for now, his current deal is due to expire in July.
