Everton want to sign £45 million Sevilla star Lucas Ocampos while Wolverhampton Wanderers see their Europa League heart-breaker as a replacement for Adama Traore, according to the Mirror (21 August, page 58).
It seems there is no limit to Monchi’s magic.
Eyebrows were raised in Andalusia when Sevilla’s legendary sporting director paid £15 million for a winger whose performances had dipped alarmingly during his final season at Marseille.
But, 12 months on, a club who almost reinvented the ‘buy-low-sell-high’ strategy could be about to make a staggering £30 million profit on an Argentine international who has rapidly established himself as not only one of the most feared attackers in Spain but in the whole of Europe.
With 17 goals this season, Ocampos is in the form of his life.
And with Wolves interested in another quick-footed winger who looks tailor-made for Nuno’s 3-4-3 formation, it should not be forgotten that it was Ocampos’s perfectly-placed header that knocked the Black Country outfit out of the Europa League at the quarter-final stage.

The Mirror claim that Wolves want the former Monaco and AC Milan wide man if they receive an offer they cannot refuse for Adama Traore.
It is no secret that Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton are scouring the market for wingers with an impressive goal-scoring record, and Ocampos most certainly fits the bill.
He is younger, more consistent and a far better finisher than an ageing Theo Walcott.
Sevilla will face Inter Milan in the final of the Europa League tonight and Ocampos will be hoping to sign off in style, if this is indeed the last time the one-man wrecking ball plays in the famous white shirt.
