Wolverhampton Wanderers want £110 million for Ruben Neves amid interest from Manchester City, according to The Times.

It has been reported that defending Premier League champions City are interested in signing Neves from Wolves.

The Wanderers, who won automatic promotion from the Championship to the Premier League at the end of last season, are claimed to want £110m for the Portugal international midfielder.

Quality footballer

Neves joined Wolves from FC Porto in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Express & Star to be worth £15.8 million.

The 21-year-old midfielder scored six goals and provided one assist in 42 Championship appearances for Wolves last season, according to WhoScored.

Neves is a very good and promising young midfielder, and his performances in the Premier League so far this season suggest that he is good enough to play for City.

One can understand why Wolves reportedly want seven times what they paid for the Portuguese midfielder.
