Wolves are again being linked with Liverpool’s Divock Origi.

According to The Mirror, Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo wants to bring in Liverpool forward Divock Origi to add competition to his front line.
Wolves landed Raul Jimenez on loan from Benfica over the summer, and the Mexican has been productive in attack with three goals and four assists in 12 Premier League games.
Yet with Leo Bonatini yet to really show that he is of Premier League quality, Wolves are likely to be in the market for another striker in January.
The Mirror now report that Liverpool’s Origi is a top target after attempting to sign him over the summer, with a £20million fee mentioned for the Belgian international.
The 23-year-old forward has played just 11 minutes of first-team action this season and clearly needs to leave Anfield to further his career, with a move to Molineux potentially on the cards.
Intriguingly though, it’s claimed that Nuno sees Origi as ‘competition’ for his forwards, rather than a clear first choice to come in and lead the Wolves attack ahead of Jimenez.

Origi is coming from a bit-part role at Liverpool and won’t want to sit on the bench wherever he goes, meaning he may need assurances over playing time if he moves on in January.
With Jimenez only on loan, he could be a first-choice striker in the future, but there is every chance that Jimenez earns a permanent move, and with the Mexican already up to speed with Nuno’s style, there is no guarantee that Origi would make an instant impact for Wolves.
