Wolverhampton Wanderers are eyeing up a potential summer bid for Genk’s Ukraine international attacker Roman Yaremchuk, as reported by Het Laaste Nieuws.
Raul Jimenez really cannot return soon enough.
Adama Traore’s last-gasp rocket certainly eased those nagging relegation fears against Fulham last week.
But, with Wolverhampton Wanderers barely threatening until stoppage time at Craven Cottage, Traore’s little bit of brilliance certainly felt like something of a papering-over-the-cracks exercise.
Real Sociedad loanee Willian Jose – despite being denied his first Premier League goal by VAR – was largely anonymous once again in West London.
And it looks for all the world that Wolves will be in the market for a new centre-forward this summer, only hopefully capable of making a bigger impact in English football than Jose has.
HLN claims that Yaremchuk, a 25-year-old forward with 19 caps for the Ukraine national team, is one such target with Belgian giants Genk demanding £18 million.

Yaremchuk has scored 18 goals in 36 games in 2020/21 – one better than last season’s tally. And, at 6ft 3ins, the former Dinamo Kiev man is exactly the sort of physical, back-to-goal targetman that Wolves tend to look for in the transfer market.
Interest in Yaremchuk doesn’t exactly bode well for those hoping to see Rafa Mir handed a second chance at Molineux.
Despite scoring at an impressive rate during a loan spell at La Liga outfit Huesca, it seems unlikely that Mir will return to a club he joined three years ago to much fanfare.
