According to German newspaper Express, Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in bringing Koln striker Jhon Cordoba to Molineux.
It’s claimed that ‘no extension is currently in sight’ for Cordoba, with his current contract at Koln set to end next summer.
Cordoba allegedly fancies a move to England, and has asked his advisors to find him a new club – and that could be Wolves.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men are allegedly keen on Cordoba, and are the first English club to show real interest in the Colombian hitman.
Cordoba, 27, hit 14 goals and three assists in 31 games for Koln this past season having hit 21 goals in the 2018-19 season, and he does seem well-suited to Premier League action.
He is big and strong at 6ft 2in tall, whilst he’s also mobile and possesses fine link-up play, meaning he could be great competition for Raul Jimenez.
Wolves brought in Patrick Cutrone last summer, but that move didn’t really work out as planned, and Cordoba could be the physical centre forward Nuno wants.
There is no offer on the table yet, but Koln would seek around €20million (£18million), with something of an acceptance that he will be on the move due to his contract situation.
