Wolves have already signed a striker in Rafa Mir from Valencia this month but it appears Nuno Espirito Santo does not want to stop there, with Gazzetta Dello Sport claiming the Midlands outfit are tracking Inter Milan’s Andrea Pinamonti.
The Championship table toppers have had to make do with just one first-team centre-forward during the first half of the season in loanee Leo Bonatini, but his 12 goals in 29 league and cup outings have proved priceless.
Now, Wolves have given the Brazilian competition with the signing of Mir, and could go even further to increase the fight to spearhead Wolves attack by landing Inter teen Pinamonti.
The 18-year-old is considered a huge talent at San Siro, with his breakthrough into the first team showing just how highly the Italian giants rate their up-and-coming striker.
He has made four appearances in Inter’s senior side, but it is his form for Inter’s second string that makes compelling reading. The 14-time Italy Under-19 international has scored 27 goals in just 50 matches.
The report claims Wolves are not the only side interested in Pinamonti, with Serie A duo Cagliari and Sassuolo keen on handing Pinamonti a chance to shine in Italy’s top tier.
But a move to England could enhance his reputation within Europe rather than just Italy, if he can help the Midlands giants in their fight to gain promotion into the Premier League come May 2018.
