Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly interested in signing Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala.

Wolves could look to rival Inter Milan for Eliaquim Mangala’s signature, according to The Sun, and could have an advantage over the Nerazzurri in the race for the Manchester City star.
The Sun reports that Mangala is out of contract at the Etihad Stadium in the summer. The centre-back – who cost City £31.9 million – has endured a difficult time since arriving in the Premier League.
Mangala has struggled to live up to his transfer fee at City and a loan spell at Everton last season ended after just two appearances due to injury.

According to the report, Inter are eyeing a loan deal in January before making the move permanent in the summer when his deal expires. Meanwhile, Wolves are also keen.
The report adds that Mangala is keen to stay in England, so that would seemingly hand Nuno Espirito Santo’s men the advantage if the two clubs end up putting similar offers on the table.
It would be a risk for Wolves to make a move for Mangala. But given that he will soon be available for nothing and that the club’s owners seem to have made few mistakes in the transfer market since the start of last season, perhaps it may prove to be an inspired move.
