New Wolves owner Jeff Shi has promised that the club will gain promotion to the top flight under the guidance of Fosun.

Confidence isn’t something that’s lacking at Molineux these days, with the manager and owners alike being full of positivity when it comes to the club’s future.
This was highlighted in sporting director Kevin Thelwell’s recent interview with Express & Star, during which he revealed a number of interesting things about the club.
When referencing his many conversations with new owner Jeff Shi, Thelwell stated: “Every conversation we have with Jeff Shi he says: ‘Listen Kev, I promise we’ll get to the Premier League’. And Fosun are going to be completely supportive to help us to do that.”
Even with the recent departures of Steve Morgan and Jez Moxey, the club appears to be growing in confidence with each passing day as Thelwell and company hope to construct a brighter future for the Midlands-based outfit. When asked about the chaotic last few weeks at Wolves, Thelwell was more than happy to reveal what had been happening.

“It was crazy – absolute chaos – for no other reason than the fact we’ve signed 12 players in that six week time-frame,” said Thelwell.
“And then with everyone else rushing towards the final deadline, things changing day by day, hour by hour, it was complete chaos. I was just glad for the clock to chime when the deadline passed!
“But I think we look much better for it. We’ve got strength in depth and hopefully once we have a bit of time to be more cohesive and get together, we’ll build on it and make better performances.”
After a disappointing result in midweek, the Wanderers will now be turning their attention to their game with league favourites Newcastle United on Saturday.
It is certainly a period of transition at Wolves with new boss Walter Zenga seeking to make his mark on the way the team play and a number of new additions still settling into the squad, but despite some ups and downs so far this campaign fans have reason to be excited.
