Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in Southampton striker Sam Gallagher.
According to a report from the Express and Star, Wolves are optimistic that they will ultimately win the race to take Southampton striker Sam Gallagher on loan.
The Express and Star reports that Wolves are one of a number of Championship teams interested in signing the 21-year-old on a temporary basis.

Though Gallagher has recently signed a four-year deal at St Mary’s, the Express and Star suggests that he is likely to be loaned out again this season after doing well at Blackburn Rovers last term.
Despite Rovers getting relegated from the second tier, Gallagher contributed 11 goals – seemingly prompting a number of clubs, including Wolves, to monitor his situation.
It is perhaps not difficult to see why Wolves would represent the most appealing move for Gallagher if he has a number of Championship sides to pick from.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have shown a tremendous amount of ambition in the transfer market so far, most notably landing Ruben Neves from Porto.
And with Wolves’ striker options struggling for goals last season, and with no new forwards added to the squad this summer, Gallagher may feel that a move to Molineux may present him with the best chance to be a focal point.
