Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly in talks with Bournemouth regarding the possibility of signing the forward.

According to the Birmingham Mail, Wolves have opened talks with Bournemouth over the possibility of bringing Lewis Grabban to Molineux this month.

The Black Country outfit have been imperious all season long, and currently sit comfortably at the top of the Championship table, 12 points clear of second placed Derby County.

Nuno Espirito Santo deserves great credit for the manner in which he has gone about his business at Wolves, since taking over at Molineux in the summer.

The Portuguese has not only brought in some exciting talent to the club, but he has also found a way of extracting more from the players who were already there.

And it is a sign of Wolves’ ambition that they are reportedly tracking Grabban, considering the extremely strong position that they already find themselves in.

It would be easy for them to sit on their laurels, and plough on with what they have, but Nuno is obviously keen to bolster his ranks in an attempt to prevent complacency creeping in.

The Birmingham Mail claim Wolves have moved ahead of Aston Villa and Cardiff City in the race to sign the 29-year-old.

Grabban scored 12 goals in 19 Championship outings during a loan spell with Sunderland this season, before being recalled to the Vitality Stadium by Eddie Howe, and if Wolves manage to get a deal for him over the line, they could be unstoppable this season.
