Report: Wolves open contract talks with Morgan Gibbs-White

Wolverhampton Wanderers are hoping to tie Morgan Gibbs-White down to a new contract amid interest from some of their Premier League rivals.

According to a report from the Sunday People (28/10; page 50), Wolves have begun contract talks with Morgan Gibbs-White as they look to keep the 18-year-old amid interest from some of their Premier League rivals.

Gibbs-White has been a peripheral figure for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men this term, but is clearly being tipped for a very bright future. The teenager has made four substitute appearances in the Premier League so far this term.

The Sunday People (28/10; page 50) suggests that the midfielder is on the radar of some of Wolves’ top flight rivals, but could soon agree a new contract at Molineux.

The new deal is apparently set to reward the starlet for his progress. It is quite a statement given that he was only handed fresh terms in January, with the club confirming at the time that he is currently set to stay until 2022.

It is also a statement that Gibbs-White is getting chances in a midfield that many Premier League sides are likely to be envious of. Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho have formed an excellent partnership in the middle, but Gibbs-White is threatening to apply some pressure.

And if Wolves can agree a new deal with the starlet, it would be another positive step from Nuno’s men – who certainly do not look out of place in the top flight this season.
