According to The Athletic, Wolverhampton Wanderers won’t be signing Shanghai SIPG attacker Hulk in the January transfer window.
Wolves are now being linked with a number of attacking players, having seen Raul Jimenez go down with a head injury against Arsenal two weeks ago.
Today, it’s Brazilian ace Hulk – but it seems that Wolves won’t be able to get a deal done for him during next month’s transfer window.
It’s stated that Hulk’s wages are thought to be prohibitive, whilst his age is also a problem for Wolves; Hulk is now 34.
Additionally, new Brexit rules that come into effect next month mean Hulk wouldn’t qualify to play in the Premier League; he hasn’t played for Brazil since 2016.
Hulk wouldn’t meet the criteria solely based on his career in China, so whilst he has been offered to Wolves, a deal won’t be happening.

Hulk, best known for his spells with Porto and Zenit St Petersburg, used to be represented by Jorge Mendes, which may have played a part in Wolves being offered the Brazilian.
Wolves will have to look elsewhere, with a number of issues blocking a move to sign Hulk, who has been prolific in China with 74 goals in 135 games.
