According to talkSPORT, Wolverhampton Wanderers are now interested in appointing Frank Lampard as their new manager.
Wolves parted ways with Nuno Espirito Santo last weekend having mutually agreed to end their time together after four years in the job.
It looked like Bruno Lage would be landing the job; The Sun reported earlier this week that ex-Benfica boss Lage has met with Wolves and was the top choice.
Yet with Brexit regulations an issue according to the Daily Mail, Wolves may now look to an English manager instead.
It’s suggested that ‘discreet enquiries’ have been made into Lampard’s availability with Wolves considering other options away from Lage.
Lampard has been out of work since losing his job at Chelsea in January, and could pursue a return to management this summer.

There are questions over Lampard’s quality as a boss, but Tammy Abraham branded him a ‘great manager’ after his sacking and he seemed popular with a number of other players.
Would Wolves be alone in pursuing Lampard? Probably not. Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion both have vacancies, whilst Ian McGarry claimed last week that Celtic are keen on Lampard if they can’t get Eddie Howe.
Lampard seemingly isn’t Wolves’ first choice or even close to that, but he’s now a candidate to take the reins at Molineux in an interesting move.
