According to ABC Sevilla, Julen Lopetegui is now heading for the Premier League amid talk that Wolves have made him their No.1 target to replace Bruno Lage.
Julen Lopetegui set to join Wolves
Well, the Spaniard was dismissed from his role at Sevilla last night after suffering a 4-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
However, those in Seville clearly admire the 56-year-old for his efforts, as he was applauded off the field by supporters despite the nature of the loss.
After all, Lopetegui did bring the Europa League back to Seville in 2020 following a 3-2 win over Inter Milan, so he is understandably popular.
Now, ABC Sevilla have provided a huge hint as to where the Spanish tactician is heading next.
The Seville news outlet claim that Lopetegui already has a new project in the Premier League to get stuck into.

While Wolves are not directly mentioned, they are the only Premier League side to be linked with the man departing Sevilla, so it feels safe to assume his destination is Molineux.
It comes after Sky Sports revealed that Wolves have made Lopetegui their No.1 target to replace Lage, despite his poor start to the season in Spain.
At the time of his dismissal, Sevilla sit 17th in La Liga – one point above the relegation zone.
Julen Lopetegui can rebuild reputation at Wolves
While the current campaign has been a nightmare for Lopetegui, he is far from a bad coach.
The Spaniard was appointed by Real Madrid in 2018 following a stint in charge of the Spanish national team, and we know Los Blancos do not just hire anybody at the Santiago Bernabeu.
At Molineux, Lopetegui will be given some fine footballers to work with such as Matheus Nunes, Ruben Neves, Pedro Neto and others – in truth, it could even be considered an upgrade on Sevilla in terms of personnel.
If his move to Molineux does materialise, we hope Lopetegui can put his problems behind him and bring success back to Wolves.
