Wolves are said to have whittled their striker search down to three realistic options, including Liverpool’s Divock Origi, by the Athletic.

Wolves may look to bring in a new number nine this month, although all their targets remain somewhat problematic.

Nuno’s side would rather pursue a loan deal, but every target they are after is only available on a permanent move.

Liverpool’s Origi, Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic and Bournemouth’s Joshua King are the three names that Wolves are apparently interested in.

Origi and King are the more experienced strikers in Premier League terms, but it may be Jovic who is the most appealing to the Molineux crowd.

The Serbian, who Lionel Messi called a ‘magical’ player (One Football), has struggled at Real Madrid since a £50 million move (BBC Sport), but he has previously proven to be an excellent finisher in the Bundesliga, and would surely be a welcome addition to Wolves’ squad.

The Midlands side have struggled since this term, since Raul Jimenez’s injury, with Fabio Silva finding it difficult to lead the line at the age of 18.
