Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Ruben Vinagre is now training with Famalicao after a move to Primeira Liga rivals Braga failed to materialise, as reported by O Jogo.
The Portugal U21 international departed Molineux in search of more regular football during the summer transfer window but it’s safe to say things have not exactly gone to plan.
After making just two Super Lig appearances during an ill-fated spell at Olympiakos, Vinagre is on the move again.
Braga were expected to win the race for the bucaneering left-back but, according to O Jogo, top-flight rivals Famalicao have snapped him up from under the nose of ex-Swansea and Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal.
Why a purported move to Braga fell through remains a mystery, although their loss may well be Famalicao’s gain.

O Jogo even reports that Vinagre started training with Famalicao on Monday as he closes in on a move to a club who confounded expectations to finish sixth in the table last season.
Vinagre will follow in the footsteps of ex-Wolves youngster Pedro ‘Pote’ Goncalves; the highly-rated midfielder who has fired Sporting Lisbon to the top of the table after a brilliant spell at Famalicao in 2019/20.
