French outlet Foot Mercato claim that Wolves have made a loan-to-buy offer for Paris Saint-Germain teenager Djeidi Gassama. However, Bruno Lage’s side are not the only club interested in signing the attacking starlet.
Gassama, 18, has caught the eye across Europe with some stunning performances in the UEFA Youth League. Playing six times for PSG’s under-19 side, he has scored five goals in six games – laying on two assists.
That includes a brace and an assist in a 3-1 away win over Manchester City towards the end of November. But his long-term future is in doubt and given PSG’s wealth of attacking talent, he may feel a move is needed.
Indeed, Gassama has entered the final 18 months of his contract at PSG and it is believed the teenage star is ready to consider an exit. Wolves have made a loan-to-buy offer to sign the PSG youngster, but are not alone.
German club Hamburg, currently in the second tier, have also made a similar offer – as have Swiss club FC Basel who are keen to sign a striker. However, FM report that PSG have refused all offers on the table so far.

He would certainly have more of an opportunity to play than he would at PSG. Mauricio Pochettino’s side boasts the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, Neymar, Mauro Icardi, Angel Di Maria and plenty more.
A move is needed for Gassama, but is a move to Wolves the right one? He would probably have to show his quality in Premier League 2 initially – but the chance of a permanent clause shows it could be a long-term addition.
