According to The Daily Mail, Wolves are looking to hand Conor Coady a new contract and plan to increase his £50,000-a-week salary.

The new deal should move the centre-back amongst the likes of Rui Patricio, Joao Moutinho and Raul Jimenez – the club’s highest earners.

Additionally, the report states that Coady hasn’t missed a Premier League game since Wolves earned promotion in 2017 – it’s no wonder Nuno Espirito Santo loves him.

After the ex-Liverpool man made his England debut recently, iNews quote Nuno as saying: ‘I always say it is the ultimate moment of a football career of a player to represent their country. I am delighted I can help.

‘I feel true happiness when I see them on TV with their countries.’

Coady played 90 minutes as England kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw against Denmark.

The Wolves captain only signed a fresh contract at Molineux last year, but such is his importance to the side, he is in line for a revised deal.

The 27-year-old has three years remaining on his current terms, but Wolves want to reward the man who played 57 out of 59 games in their hectic 2019/20 campaign as The Daily Mail state.

His rise to the top has been incredible.

Wolves paid just £2 million to sign him from Huddersfield back in 2015, with the BBC even describing him as a midfielder at the time.

He hasn’t just risen to the top, he’s done so while also changing position.

If anyone at Molineux is worthy of a pay rise, it’s Coady.
