Wolves reportedly have an option to land Alfred N’Diaye on a permanent basis.
French outlet RMC Sport have claimed that Villarreal midfielder Alfred N’Diaye has been offered to French side Lille – despite newly-promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers having a reported option to sign the powerhouse.
N’Diaye, 28, spent the entire 2017-18 season on loan at the Molineux, clocking up 33 Championship appearances in which the Midlanders gained promotion to the top flight.
Currently with Senegal in Russia, the midfielder scored three goals and was an integral part in Nuno Espirito Santo’s side as they eventually returned to the Premier League.
Spanish outlet AS claimed in May that Wolves had an option to sign the former Hull City loanee on a permanent basis for a fee of £8million, but Wolves are yet to exercise such an option.
Now, N’Diaye could be off to French side Lille, with Villarreal offering their out-of-favour midfielder to the Ligue 1 outfit. The star is clearly out of favour at Villarreal, and now a return to France could be on the cards.
Somewhat of a journeyman, N’Diaye began his career at French side AS Nancy before spells with in Turkey with Bursaspor and Eskisehirspor, Spain with Real Betis and Villarreal, and England with Hull, Wolves and Sunderland.
